Northeast Bank Donates $2,500 to Mid-Coast Hunger Prevention Program

Brunswick, ME

Northeast Bank announced today a significant donation of $2,500 to the Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program, in support of its Annual Charity Auction, which takes place from 5 – 8 pm on October 22nd at The Knights of Columbus Hall in Brunswick.  Local bank representatives will join other area supporters to volunteer at the important MCHPP event, helping to answer phones and showcase auction items.

“We are proud to be a part of the mid-coast community and are committed to supporting local organizations that make an impact,” said Jim Delamater, President and CEO of the Northeast Community Banking Division. “Mid Coast Hunger Prevention’s efforts to provide local residents with food assistance and support are impressive, and we are excited to support their annual fundraiser.”

Tickets for the event are on sale at Northeast Bank’s Brunswick office, located at 186 Maine Street.  All proceeds from the auction go toward efforts to reduce hunger by providing food assistance, sustainable living education, and referral services to households living at or below poverty in Brunswick, Bowdoin, Bowdoinham, Durham, Harpswell, Lisbon, Lisbon Falls, and Topsham.

They truly help us provide food for today and hope for tomorrow. MCHPP offers on-site meals, food to prepare meals at home, and educational programs that empower and assist others to become more self-sufficient.
