Northeast Bank announced today its support of the Mahoosuc Kids Association with a $1,100 donation to its annual Summer Adventure Program. Local bank representatives partnered with Mahoosuc Kids staff members during the recent Mollyocket Days festival, in an effort to support the effort to provide affordable child care services for area residents. 

“We are proud to be a part of the Bethel community and are glad we could use a great event like Mollyocket Days to support the efforts of Mahoosuc Kids,” said Jim Delamater, President and CEO of the Northeast Community Banking Division. “Their efforts to provide local children a fun and stimulating place to learn, grow, and develop are commendable.”

Funds were raised during the Mollyocket Days festivities via a dunk tank sponsored by Northeast Bank, which featured local celebrities taking turns being dunked.  Over $500 was donated by festival attendees during the event, who were anxious to support the local non-profit.  Afterward, Northeast matched the collected funds in an effort to provide Mahoosuc Kids with a donation to support their summer camp program and activities.  In addition, several bank representatives volunteered their time during the summer program, helping out with camp events.

“It has been such a pleasure to partner with Northeast Bank on events around Mollyocket Days, as well as working with their staff to help out with our summer camp program,” said Julie Hart, Mahoosuc Kids Association Director.  “This donation allowed us to bring the 75 camp attendees on field trips throughout the state that otherwise would not have been possible.”

Mahoosuc Kids Association (MKA) is an non-profit organization under IRS code 501^©3. MKA offers before and after-school child care and enrichment programs for students in grades K-12 in the MSAD #44 school district.
